The Iraqi Ashor Foundation for Relief and Development was a Non-governmental, Nonprofit organization and youth-led organization. Its history backs to 2015 when a youth group volunteered to respond to the urgent Iraqi societal needs due to the circumstances it went through and the difficulties it faced through the exposure to wars and conflicts, which resulted in displacement and mass migration.
Since that time the youth group started thinking about why such a conflict was happening? What kind of role should youth play to change? And what are the best approaches to deal with the conflict and reach communal resilience. During conflict and the battle with the so-called Islamic states in Iraq and Syria ISIS the focus of the agency was on responding to the humanitarian and basic needs of marginalized groups ‘Displaced Community’. While after the conflict the agency works to support the relief efforts of the returned families in terms of restoring their economic and social life. After around five years of conflict Ashor believes that our mission is not ended yet and we need to think about a more constructive and transformative approach into the conflict as a vehicle for change and seeks for a peaceful society. Ashor got registered with the Iraqi Directory of Non-governmental Organizations DNGOs on 2019.

ARD concludes its training for more than three hundred teachers in Nineveh! Department of Media and Communication in ARD As part of the professional capacity building program for accelerated education and literacy teachers in Nineveh Governorate , the ARD in partnership with Alphabet Human Resources Development and Events Management Company, in coordination with the Executive Agency for Literacy and Accelerated Implementation and with funding from GIZ, held a ceremony to honor and distribute certificates to literacy teachers and accelerated education schools in Nineveh Governorate on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the White House Hall in the city of Mosul.The ceremony began with welcoming the attendees, followed by a recitation of the Holy Quran, the playing of the Iraqi national anthem, a series of speeches and official speeches by the ARD, GIZ and the head of the Executive Agency for Literacy, and then the distribution of certificates to the participants. …
From three governorates, they came together to learn, share their ideas and suggestions, and serve their cities to bring hope to their neighborhoods again! The ARD held three training workshops for media teams in Nineveh, Salahuddin and Anbar governorates as part of the “Returning with Hope” project supported by the GCERF and funded by the USAID. …
As part of the major panting trees campaign launched by the Nineveh Provincial Council under the slogan “A Tree for Every Citizen”, the IID organized a planting tree campaign in schools and public places in support of the campaign, where returning youth, women and children volunteered to plant a group of trees in Nineveh Governorate in order to make Nineveh green to protect the environment and mitigate climate change. …
The Iraqi Solidarity Association for Youth opened the "Solidarity Recovery Center" in Heet District, Anbar Governorate, with the participation of representatives of the local government, civil society activists, and representatives of non-governmental organizations. …
